Aurinest Pavilion is a sole proprietorship based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, operating online as Aurinestpavilion (aurinestpavilion.shop). We sell painting and drawing materials, and we describe them by how they behave in use rather than by how many pieces are in the box.
Why we started with the materials, not the range
Most people who give up on drawing do not run out of ideas. They run out of patience with the materials. A wash cockles the sheet into a wave. A nib that sat in a drawer for a month skips across the paper and lays down half a line. An acrylic set dries chalky and refuses to blend. The work looks wrong, the beginner concludes they cannot do it, and the pad goes back in the cupboard.
Almost none of that is the person. It is a paper weight too light for a wet medium, a pigment load too thin to cover, a nib stored the wrong way up. Those are knowable properties, printed on the box or measurable in five minutes. Yet they are exactly the details that vanish from a listing, replaced by a piece count and the word professional.

Specifications, not adjectives
Every product page carries the paper GSM, the sheet or piece count, the sizes and the coverage as published by the maker of that item. If a figure is not published, we leave it blank rather than estimate it.
Checked before it is packed
During the 1 business day handling window every order is opened and inspected: nibs intact, seals unbroken, corners uncreased, sets counted. Paper goes between boards; liquids are bagged apart from paper.
Honest about what we are not
We are not a manufacturer, and we are not anyone’s authorised distributor. We do not offer a duration warranty on consumables. We stand behind what arrives at your door — damaged, defective, incomplete or wrong, and we replace or refund it.
One person answers the email
Support is email, run by the proprietor rather than a queue. That is slower than a call centre at three in the morning and considerably more useful at eleven in the day.
Our story
The shop began with a stack of returned sketchbooks. Working around art materials in Jaipur, our proprietor kept seeing the same three complaints come back over the counter, in the same order: it buckled, it skipped, it dried funny. Three material failures, and every one of them predictable from a number nobody had been shown.
The obvious response was to write the numbers down. We started listing GSM before anything else, then piece counts, then coverage, and stocked only the items where those figures held up in practice. The range stayed small on purpose. It is easier to know six products properly than sixty vaguely, and a beginner asking “will this take a wash?” deserves an answer rather than a link.
Instruction guides sit beside the supplies for the same reason. Good materials and clear teaching solve the same problem from two directions, and it seemed strange to sell one without the other.
How we work, in practical terms
- Online only. Aurinest Pavilion runs entirely online, with no physical store, studio counter or showroom. Everything is dispatched from Jaipur, Rajasthan.
- Shipping. Free on orders of ₹1,499 and above; a flat ₹59 applies below that. Total time to your door is 3 to 8 business days.
- Returns. 10 days from delivery on unused goods in original packaging, refunded within 6 business days.
- Payment. UPI or Cash on Delivery, in Indian rupees. No cards, no PayPal, no stored payment details.
- Damage on arrival. Film the unboxing, tell us within 48 hours, and we replace or refund it.
What we will not do
We will not call a student-grade paint professional. We will not inflate a piece count by counting the tray. We will not print a paper weight we have not seen published. And we will not tell you an item is in stock while we wait for it to arrive from somewhere else — if it is listed, it is here, in Jaipur.
